Pilot Training Workshop: Instrument approaches (part 1)

This workshop will be the first in a number of sessions focused on flying a wide range of instrument approaches under a wide range of conditions. We’ll start with the purpose of instrument approaches, and the segments that make up an instrument approach. Then, we’ll dissect the elements of an approach plate, and of course, how to fly a precision approach, starting with the ILS 19R at John Wayne (KSNA).
